    Hi
Anyone got a spoked rear wheel for an FXD 2002? Can swap for solid FXD rear or purchase, let me know?

Hello there, i have a seven spoke cast aluminium rear wheel, 16x3, i bought it to fit to my sportster, but bought a pair eventualy, it's in my garage doing nothing as i type, i believe one of the threaded holes needs a tap running down it to tidy it up, i've never attempted to fit it, so not looked closely.
When i talked years ago to one of the lads in the 'stile:' shirley high street, his take on solid wheels was that they were fantastic, spoked wheels on a big laden cruiser kept breaking whilst riding to spain,

I recently looked at the Rev Tech billet wheels but at £2k for two wheels the money is best kept to upgrade the whole machine eventually I feel.

I am totally in love with those and have looked at them before.

    2k is very dear though.

Side wind would be a bitch with them too, no? And I bet they're much heavier than your standard spokes...

    any?

What i'm saying is, if I had those hubs, with white walls on, they would look great.

Sorry Tash I thought you were seeing something in the photo I wasn't? A simple case of my fault my mistake. Personally I prefer the stealth all black look but yes the solid black wheels together with the contrast of white walls would be a great look too I would imagine?

    yeah, i think so.
If you look at the fat boy s, it has that kind of contrast with the solid black hubs and chrome rim. I imagine it would look like that kind of thing.
