    Sportster Mirrors

Hi guys. I am struggling with rear visibility on my 2015 sportster using the standard mirrors flipped upside down. Is there any options with longer arms?

You can get long stem mirrors, how these would fair flipped under, I'm not sure. Whenever I've seen the long stem ones fitted they've always been on the top of the bars. Have you tried adjusting and messing with them? When I did mine it took a while to get them in the sweet spot without fowling the tank. Now i've got the apes on its obviously not an issue

I flipped the mirrors on my 2015 Iron 883 and it works well, did you slacken the clutch/brake lever clamps so that you can adjust them? the amount of adjustment just with the mirrors ball joint may not be enough unless you adjust the clamp which mounts the mirrors slightly.

I had an horrendous blind spot on my Breakout as the mirrors didn’t extend out far enough. I went for a smaller set that extended slightly further. They are made by Rizoma and are top quality but at a price naturally. They do adaptors separately if needed to fit your bike. Maybe worth a look perhaps?

Or longer stem. The picture shows the difference between the stems.

For HD good reason you can buy the left or right side as separates.

On my bike it was impossible to see what was on my left side. These mirrors worked for me with the usual vibration issue of a Harley.

I don't know about the extensions but the mirrors are available in black.

I tried mine upside down and managed to angle them without sticking out too far; plus without altering the clutch and brake clamps positions, but I didn't like the fact that although clear of the petrol tank when on full lock, it wouldn't take much for a slight knock on something (or some kind person messing with them) to cost me a new tank.

So mine are back on top.

So mine are back on top.
Since fitted roadster bars to my 1200L, my arms intrude more in the mirrors.
I checked on Jersey Harley site and they list ones with longer stems for the Custom version, same year as mine.
They look identical except for the longer stem. Around £35 each.

Only trouble I can see with them under the bar’s is one has to take ones eyes off the road to look at them.
I was trying looking under the bars yesterday to where they would be and I had to turn my head down, whereas I only have to move my eyes for a quick glance with them on top.
