    I’m new from Oxford just purchased an older 1200 Sportster. So now I looking for a new or good rear fender or advice on where to get a reasonably price please?

    Welcome to the forum. eBay would probably be your best bet, or at least a good start

    Yes thanks for that! There seems to be a lot of plastic about where as the the metal one looks as if it might be stronger in the long term but ‘stone me’ they are kind of pricey!

    Welcome to the forum from Calderdale in West Yorkshire.

    What year and model Sportster do you have?

    The bare metal rear fender below is available on the Aliexpress UK website for just £47.34, including delivery. It's advertised as being suitable for Sportster models from 1994 to 2003. It will need holes drilling to suit your frame but at that price you'd expect to do some work.

    I have a 1200 XLS 1997! Just waiting on on some forward controls as the riding position is a little more cramped than my BMW 1200 GSA Lc! Thanks for the tip on rear fender I will look into that straight away.
