Oh, Dave - so close! Actually it was David because God promises:

    ....great Triumphs to His king,
And shows steadfast love and mercy to His anointed,
To David and his descendants forever.' (Ps 18:50, NRSV)

    My work here is done.

    Chris

    Great bikes, I owned a 2008 orange XR1200r for 3.5 years.

Handled well (with later x model shocks) and fast as it’s had the engine ‘breathed’ on.
As sold they were geared for 127mph and it is quite feasible to see this on the digital speedo where the limiter then kicks in.

Carry out the well known (to XR owners) Scotty mod comprising of a front primary sprocket and chain from a Buell, and it is then geared for 141.

Mainly though this mod cuts the revs in top so 80 is around 4000rpm rather than 4500 so a more relaxing cruising speed.

Plenty of advice over at xr1200.org.uk or the us forum xrog.
