    Milwaukee 8 engine.

    A lot of confusion as to how much engine oil the 8 takes, also some suggest all Harleys should have the oil
    level read with the bike standing level and never on the jiffy stand. like any of the jap bikes. any ideas here lads.

    my understanding of it is, if the dip stick is flexible, i.e. it moves from side to side, you can dip it for oil once its on the side stand

    If it starts 'sumping' like many M8s have it'll not matter how much oil is in it!
