    Sad loss rip

Hi guys, last week I lost my riding mate , a couple of days before he went he asked me if I would ride his bike and escort him to the funeral of course I said yes has anyone ever had to do this I’m a bit worried about what speed I should do and not being late getting there, he also asked all our other mates to ride in behind, it’s going to be a tough ride but must remember all of the good ride outs we had .so guys just enjoy your rides out they are invaluable.

    Sorry for your loss.
I believe it's traditional to do about 10mph for the first road and then keep to normal speed limits. Have a word with the funeral directors to make sure, and if there's going to be a lot of bikes it might pay to let the police know.

Thanks for that mike i was thinking of having a word with the directors, I think there will be about 15 to 20 bikes plus 3 cars so yes that is a good idea to inform the police , Cheers

    Sorry for your loss,
The one thing I have learned about following a hearse is to have everybody following put their hazard indicators on.
This lets everybody know that you are following and should stop other road users from pushing in at junctions etc, but you will always get the odd one who will.
Also the director can see who the followers are in his mirrors.
