    Brake light

Wondering if anyone can help my brake light stays on and then a red warning light comes on. With some investigation I found it was the front brake lever wasnít going back far enough to push the little switch what turns the brake light off , I done the usual cleaned it and sprayed wd 40 on it but it still hasnít cured it properly, any ideas anyone . Please

there is a small metal wedge thing in the front brake that needs to be aligned correctly.. I would probably guess from what your stating that there has been some movement and misalignment which is causing you this issue

I see that on the lever it’s suppose to touch the switch to turn off the light but the lever don’t come back far enough unless you push it back

    Ok Dod,

There's a small tab on the brake lever that locates inside the switchgear housing. You need to undo the two #10 x 1/2" torx screws on the switchgear housing shells and push the tab in between the two shells then tighten up the two screws again. Job done.

I took off the brake lever and cleaned around the rubber seal what seals the problem piston what activate the breaks , this was sticking and not coming out far enough to push the lever to turn off the brake light , so bit of a clean and a good squirt of wd and greased all sorted .
