    Clutch Cable

I had occasion to replace the clutch lever on my 1200S and now cannot remember the route taken by the cable, whether inside or outside the fork stanchions, there must be a correct way I suppose.

    Ok Uncle Ed,

The cable is routed outside the fork stanchion.

Many thanks Bluenose and Whistler. I shall route it outside. I also found that the Pivot pin bush and cable pin, in the clutch lever, are of a type of Nylon,so no oil or grease then!.

    Hi Uncle Ed,

There's nothing in the H-D workshop manual about lubricating the clutch lever pivot.
