    I think the huge disparity between dealerships is definitely an issue. But it could probably be said across bike dealerships in general. My worst experience was with a suzuki dealer. Over pricing, claiming for work not done and trying to do repairs that weren't required. Im, not technical, but I know my bikes and when I'm being had. My interest in bikes has never been working on them, I always loved to just get out and ride, rally and socialise. Not much changed

    yep, for those old enough to remember high street banks, "its not the bank, its the bank manager" kind of thing

    i've followed a car mechanic i trusted, from the when he worked at a dealership, then into his own business, and then with his son, who took over the dads business

    I used a local bike mechanic (,retired) for years. It was only when I got my harley, and his health deteriorated that I stopped using him. We did discuss him servicing the Harley out of warranty, but it wouldn't have been viable.
