    Somerset: weather is dreadful!

I just registered - I'm old and fat: just what the Harley community needs! Other than that, I'll post a thread in the Sportster section now. Nice to have found you all!
    Cheers,
    Chris

Afternoon Bluenose - I bet it's chilly up your way today. Thanks for the welcome. (I did post in the Sportster section, but my post does not show. Is there a waiting period for new people?)

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hello Chris,

I've read your thread in the Sportster section and I've replied to it.

Yes it's -3 degrees Celsius up here in the Pennines and it's snowing again. Oh bother.

Don't know why your thread was held for moderation, it isn't just because you're new here, it sometimes happens to us longstanding members too.

    Thanks for the welcome gents

My wife, Anna, is a Weston girl Blue - her sister still lives there (is it okay to abreviate your screen name?). These forums do cover the whole country don't they? Somerset, the Pennines & Fife in three posts! (... And, 3 degress Celsius?? Loookshurie!)

My Roadster post does not show up for me Blue - I show two posts today, for 'jiffy stand' & 'sportsterpedia': not my lovely new thread. Must be 'cos it's so cold...

    Cheers,

    Chris

    Hi Chris,

It's minus 3 degree's Celsius up here in the Pennines, I'm located 865 feet above sea level at the head of the Hebble valley that's why it's so cold here, it'll be minus seven tonight.

I worked at Oldmixon Crescent while I was in Weston, it was good to work by the seaside for a while.

Just call me Dave, that's my name, although people have called me 'Blue' for forty years.

Don't worry about your posts, they'll turn up on the forum eventually, even some of mine don't come up instantly.

Enjoy the forum, we're a small but friendly bunch of H-D enthusiasts.

Hi Chris, welcome! I see you want to try 2 footrest sets? I had to fit forwards on mine and being tall I had to extend even more. I was thinking, if you just want a forward set for resting your legs and can still use the mid controls, you could make a set of plates like I did but with just foot pegs on without controls? Just a thought?

It isn't exactly warm here in Suffolk either, Chris and Dave........

    How do I know?

Because I got stuck out in the heavy snow two weeks ago and now I have got pleurisy - I can't even lift my arms up to the handlebars.
