    Sissy Bar for 2005 Dyna

OK folks, those of you who have a 2005 DYna understand the transitional year thing, right? I am having a hell of a time finding a sissy bar for mine. Mostly because the ones I see are always saying for 2006+ or 2004-. WTF? Is there a lot of work needs to be done to fit a 2006 to my 2005, or does it even matter? WHat else fits? I can do a bit of grinding and drilling if I got to, but I don't have a welder.

    Hi reindeer,

I've had a look on ebay, the Dyna sissy bars for sale on there are for either 2002 - 2005 and 2006 -2017.

Thanks. I did a search and there's no black one available in Europe for my model. Any good Euro sites to check?

    Hi reindeer,

Try Mick at Fat Bobber's, he's based here in Halifax.

Mick manufactures custom parts for Harley's and Metric Cruisers.

Here's a couple of his Sportster sissy bars, he sells these on eBay for £120.

Well turns out Mick really only does sportsters.

I spoke with one of the less stabby local MCC members, and they've lead me on to a guy locally that does all manner of HD work. So we'll see how it goes there. I may be able to use him to install some cams and redo my chain tensioners before this thing grenades, too, since I am at nearly 22K miles now.

I ended up going with a Bowman bar from Houston, TX. I had heard a lot of good about them on the forums in the US, and they are thick and had great welds. It fit perfectly and I think it looks purdy good.
