    Crash bars

Well just removed the crash bars from my 2001 Heritage because I just could not get used to cornering with them on. I have only ridden my bike since buying it last July so not a lot to no experience on a Harley but those bars just had to go. I have sat on it and moved it a few times but won't be riding it for another six weeks or so. It already feels way more slender than it used to. So looking forward to a nice warm summer.

Ok, so went out for a little run last weekend and was chucking it around like a pro. I never thought the crash bars would have such an impact on my mind but they obviously did. Couldn't understand how my VN1500 back in 2001 was so different to this Heritage but then had a thought; no crash bars. The Harley is so different without them. All very much for the better.

Hmm, until you drop it and then you'll understand what the engine guards were for
