    Welcome to the forum Borderlord,

I'm located in cold and snow covered Calderdale in the Wesy Yorkshire Pennine hills.

That a tasty looking XLH 883 you have there, hope you enjoy the forum.

Welcome Borderlord - that's a lovely clean Sportster, very nice bike. Also spotted what could be a Suzuki GT500 behind the glass - is that also yours? Welcome from Perthshire, Scotland.

Many years ago my mate had a 1972 T500J 'Titan', boy was that thing quick off the mark, it left my T140 'Bonneville' standing.

Suzuki's 2-stroke technology was stolen from East Germany's MZ marque by Ernst Degner after he defected from the Soviet Bloc to Japan in 1961. Degner worked under 2-stroke guru Walter Kaaden at MZ, taking his knowledge to Japan as a designer and racer Degner helped Suzuki to become world leaders in 2-stroke engine design technology, he also helped Suzuki to World championship success. Degner's last race for Suzuki was in 1966.

Excellent! I used to help a mate production race one of those around 1977/78, and it was super quick. I can almost smell the 2 stroke reek from here!
