    Now not being rude here but does it not ground out on the rear fender it looks quite close

    Thanks for all the replies so far.

    The range on the 48s tank is tiny and i think I'd spend more time filling up than anything else! The Iron is just edging it but I think I need to take both out for a good test ride.

    Hearing it struggles two-up is a concern though as not doubt the missus will want to go out on it, although I'm trying to persuade her to get her license!

    That's not me, it's a photo from Google Images.

    I'm only 5' 8" and ride an Iron, the guy on the 48 looks to be at least 6' 5".

    Hello again SotonRider,

    As you've said you plan to do some two-up riding, have you considered the XL1200T, this machine is the touring Sportster, it has a 17 litre fuel tank, detachable screen and hard leather panniers, dual seat and the 1200cc motor.     Why course not ? I had a iron with original shocks that use to bottom out with extra load on it .

    Mine haven't. Also been looking into 11" shocks for my iron so they hug the tyre profile tighter, they don't bottom out either from all the research I've done.
