    Softail lowering kit

    Hi People
I was browsing the web as you do on a cold damp day and came across this kit https://www.softailloweringkit.com/

I'm quite small although I have bought thicker soul boots so can just about flat foot the ground so feel safe at traffic light etc but it's when I try to push the bike back while still sat on it that I find a little difficult depending on the ground so I think the above kit will cure this completely so come spring I shall be getting one.

I do ride steady as I'm getting on a bit so a bit less ground clearance is not going to be a problem .
Anyway just thought this may be of use to others.

    Hi Rob,

When I imported my Python slip-on mufflers from the USA, the additional charges for VAT, Import Duty and Royal mail's handling charge added £90 to the cost of the mufflers. There doesn't seem to be a way round it, pay up or you don't get your goods, it's as simple as that.

To be honest I'm use to it ,I import parts from the USA for my business every 3 months and always have extra to pay yet when I import the same parts from China in smaller quantises I don't get charged anything .

I fitted the kit today quite easy to do the hard part was getting the engine hoist in the right place it was quite fiddly but did the job

The bike is now lower and I can flat foot both feet now so a good result

    wheel hight

Not quite the same angel but gives an idea of the lower kit also with the bike on the stand its a little more upright so easier to bring up to level
