    Ok Whistler,

    Your 2016 Iron has H-D's premium ride rear shocks, not the pogo sticks that my 2011 Iron is fitted with.

    Yes the Iron does look better with it's arse end lowered, there are 10" shocks available for H-D's in the USA. 10" and 11" shocks won't have much travel as the 13" ones fitted to EU Sportster's only have 1-1/2" or 32mm.

    Wouldn't have expected them to have as much travel. Improved suspension is not what I'm looking for and even when I change the shocks, I'm still Hoping to be doing 5000+ mls a year. I've never looked a bikes being practical, I know what to expect.

    If you're not bothered about comfort, why not install a pair of rear struts and get an instant hardtail.

    Na, I've always preferred the look of a twin shock bike. It just looks so right in my eyes. If I was going for a hardtail look, it would be custom frame.
