    Wanted, softail tank

Hi, smashed my 94 FXSTC left hand tank yesterday, does anyone have one to sell, or know where I can get one? Cheers, Alex.

Not sure if it will fit but at £200 it's in one piece, in the UK and a sound/solid base to achieve your needs perhaps? The seller is not far from me Burnout Bikes in Downton Wiltshire.

No worries but at £1100 for a new one I thought it worth a punt.

I do know certain dealers (Southampton did) have a selection of tanks on display to exhibit different colour schemes and tanks available. That display has now gone! I wonder what they did with them? It may be worth ringing round a few to see what they may have lying about gathering dust perhaps?

Any good? The seller has a couple of 'split' tanks for sale.

Cheers K9F, got some feelers out for a repair, keeping my options open. Won't be out for a while now anyway!

The dent will be the issue and getting in behind it. There is another method I believe by pressurising the tank but this can compromise the seams especially if the tank is old.

It intrigues me how it happened but understand if the event is too 'raw' to reveal? Hopefully you are without injury and the bike will soon be back to it's former glory. Good luck in your quest for repairs.

Greasy road, touched the back brake, low side/ high side, ribs on road! Should know better on these roads at this time of year, just a "quick spin". Lessons learned.
