New Member and already need help!!!!

    Hi All,

I have just purchased a Iron 883 2017 and I've had a nightmare trying to fit Vance and Hines slip ons. I followed the instructions plus a video on you tube and they just would line up with the holding bracket.

Anyway, I gave up and have put my stocks back on and I'm off to HARLEY to have them fit them fit the V&C for me.

I've just wondered if it matters what way the stock exhaust are put on? I haven't had proper bike in years and when I started her up, I saw some clear spurting liquid coming out from the end of the front exhaust onto the holding bracket. I'm hoping you'll tell me this is correct, if not I'll have to swap them over again

I'm down in Dorset so looking forward to meeting up with other Harley Riders.

Hi. I have heard that the 2017 irons have a slightly smaller diameter pipe and need a gasket to fit the slip ons properly.
Where in Dorset are you? I'm near Sherborne and have a 2017 Iron too.

Had the correct gasket fitment, it was a nightmare and cannot understand why the hell it won't align properly, never mind.

I'm down in Christchurch, I've got the denim black...what colour have you got.

Same as you. I've got the VH slip ons on as well. Just fitted a high flow air filter, just got to remap it tomorrow when my VH fp3 arrives.

Can't wait, it's going to sound amazing

They do sound pretty awesome. Are you going to Bridgewater or Bristol? Next step is stage1 airfilter and remap. If you do go that route I can give you the details of the guy I got my fp3 from.

I'd be interested to know what the problem was. Have fun.
