I've used Mr sheen on all my bikes, except the harley till this week. Bike comes up great, even the engine.

Mr Sheen is for clean polished finish. ACF 50 is for prolonged protection against moisture and as a result rust. You do not need to use ACF 50 on gloss black finishes, any decent polish or wax based product will do really.

Hey Guys, Sorry for asking this question on this topic but i need to replace the battery of my sportster nightster XL1200N 2007. The battery i have on didn't last a year and today almost put on fire my baby for that s...t battery! The thing is that i used the bike only in weekend when i can as i commute to work. And unfortunately i don't have electricity in where i park the bike is not possible to keep the battery on charge / maintaining charge. Any suggestions about battery that holds the charge or a system to make sure when i use the bike the battery will not let me down? I bought a portable jump starter as well and it's very good but still need to open the battery side part each time in case the battery is flat ( or not enough power). Cheers guys! Feel free to change the topic or move the post somewhere else if needed!

There is a thread somewhere on the site about batteries ?. Over the winter months I use an optimate charger, and turn the bike over at least twice a month. Keeps the battery in good shape.

Any battery that is calcium enriched will cope better with deep discharge cycles and hold their charge better. They are naturally more expensive. Yuasa are a great brand of battery and one I would choose being in the electrical engineering trade.

Guys QQ: i have imported my sportster from France. Trying to get a registration number here in London. DVLA asked for a mutual recognition / commission notice certificate from VCA. To get this from VCA is sufficient just a statement from a garage MOT certified which can provide a declaration that speedo and headlamp are UK conformed. The thing is they need a pre-stamped letter headed paper otherwise won't be accepted. Anyone knows a garage south west London who can help me with this? It's just a paper really but the VCA os really picky. MOT test passed but not enough...
