    Twin Disc Conversion

    Hi All,

I'm considering upgrading my 05 883 Sportster to a twin disc front end.

Open to all suggestions, Jap bike conversion, Sportster R front end, or bit the bullet and just buy parts needed for right leg upgrade.
Cost will be a consideration as I've just retired from full time work, but need a nice project to keep me from going stir crazy.

I'm a competent home mechanic but don't have access to presses and lathes but contact that do, I've looked at a couple of jap conversions namely Yam R1 or GSXR variants but the costs of a good front end is eye watering.

Any thoughts or info greatly received.

Thanks in advance and a Happy New Year to you All.

    Ok SUPERCHIP,

Why not keep your Sportster's front end Harley-Davidson and use the parts from either an XL883R or XL1200R Roadster models, they were equipped with dual front discs. You could look on ebay for the parts that you require.
