My last helmet was a plain, Matt black half face lid. Did sterling service for about 15yrs. It was familiar, comfortable and nowt wrong with till I dropped it. I'm hope my current helmet lasts as long.

Is it the post #59 on previous page? It´s there for me.
I use an open face lid,all ways have done but I've a xjr1300 and for that use an Arai full face.ive got an old open face lid that's absolutely fucked.the interior held together with gaffer tape, hence this is why I have stopped using it.i bought a Matt black open face lid for my harley paid 80 quid.one thing I can say about my old open face lid is the comfort and look ,not loads of padding at the sides of your cheeks, another thing is the interior was all leather.Q.... I've looked everywhere to get a leather interior open face lid that fits well and hasn't got loads of padding at the sides of your cheeks .Has anyone seen or got one and can put me on to one.?cheers skid

Been wearing a full face on the Sporty this winter. Today was 10C so put on my open face with shades for first time since getting the bike. The pipes are quite loud now but as soon as I changed lids, the valve rattle annoyed me. Put in ear plugs and all I can hear is the exhaust - that'll do me!
I'm the opposite. I like to hear what my bike is doing. The Iron is more organic than my previous jap bikes, it sounds different depending on weather, air temp, moisture etc. As I've only worn a full face on a handful of occasions in the last 36yrs, a half face lid is what I'm used to so the extra noise on the bike is something I kinda like.Been wearing a full face on the Sporty this winter.
