I've noted that you have a Motherwell rack fitted to your "Forty Eight". I have one on my "Iron", they are a lot neater than the genuine Harley effort and I like the way it follows the curve of the rear fender. The Harley one juts out horizontally and it has ugly mounting struts.

    Motherwell 1.
    Harley-Davidson 0.

A lot cheaper too, about £40 on ebay.

Just big enough for a fuel can.

    Ok 749s,

    No more Spikking the Doric.

I have fitted an H-D rev counter upgrade to my 2011 "Iron", I didn't like just having a speedo, I too like to know what rpm my motor is doing.

The kit part # is 67182-07. I bought mine 4 years ago from Jersey H-D for about £340 + £12 P&P, Don't know if this kit is still available from Harley.

    See images.

There is a newer single clock version with digital speedo and analogue rev counter.
Part # is 70900274. Price from Jersey H-D is £264.97 no VAT to pay if bought online.

Always check with the dealer if the upgrades are compatible with your particular model before purchasing. I always buy my Harley parts from Jersey H-D due to them not charging 20% VAT. If you return orders to Jersey H-D, they are liable to a 20% re-stocking charge.

    See image.

    Hope that's helped you.

    Ride Safe,

    Dave.

    Ok Streetbob,

You don't know your born in Berkshire weather-wise.

120 bridges have been damaged in West Yorkshire alone due to the recent flooding.

See the attached images of the collapsed 160 year old Elland Bridge.

And this is why I can't complain too much about the weather here.

    Ok Smithy,

I don't have a car licence either, and I've no intention of getting one.

I've had a full motorcycle licence since 1980, that's all I need, roll on spring.
